About this fundraising campaign 🎬 The film Lola is a young, passionate dancer. Since the death of her brother Arthur, she can no longer breathe. To keep him alive, she decides to finish a poem he never had the time to complete and present it at a competition. But as the deadline approaches, reality becomes increasingly stifling. Sounds intensify, memories of a body that speaks seep into her daily life, and the boundaries between her inner world and reality begin to disappear. In a final confrontation with absence, Lola will understand that loving someone does not mean living in their place. To truly maintain her connection with Arthur, she will first have to find her own breath. (Moodboard real world / mental world) A sensory experience Poetry is a dramatic short film of about 10 minutes. But more than a story, it aims to be an experience. The film relies on a staging where the image, sound, silence, and movement convey more than dialogues. Lola's inner world and reality constantly respond to each other. Gradually, the boundaries blur: breaths become oppressive, sounds take on a physical dimension, gestures transform into language. Dance then becomes a way of expressing what can no longer be spoken. We want each viewer to experience the film before even understanding it, and to be able to deposit their own memories, their own absences, and their own emotions into it. La Nouvelle Bobine is an audiovisual production association founded by two film students, Sarah & Elsa, with a simple ambition: to create the conditions that allow young authors, directors, and technicians to bring their projects to life within a demanding, collaborative, and professional framework. Our association was born out of a shared observation. First projects are often the most personal and audacious, but also the most difficult to produce. Audiovisual creation requires significant human, technical, and financial resources, while young teams often struggle to find a structure capable of supporting them from the earliest stages of their journey. Rather than waiting for an opportunity to arise, we chose to build this tool ourselves. By bringing together students, young technicians, artists, and partners around a shared commitment to quality, we aim to foster the emergence of an independent cinema driven by cooperation, creativity, and trust. Poetry , the first short film produced by La Nouvelle Bobine , embodies this ambition. Carried out in parallel with our studies, this project represents much more than a first production: it constitutes the starting point of a structure we wish to see grow with each work and encounter. Through La Nouvelle Bobine , we defend a simple conviction: a project should never be limited by a lack of network or resources, but carried by the strength of its vision, the rigor of its development, and the trust placed in emerging talents.
