Due to the weather conditions, the Les Aiguilleurs festival is facing a complicated, even critical, financial situation this year. WHY AND WHO ARE WE SUPPORTING? The Les Aiguilleurs Festival holds a unique place in the Hauts-de-Seine territory. Offering an eclectic, ambitious and elegant programme, the festival showcases discovery projects as well as nationally and internationally renowned artists. From one edition to the next, set on a nautical base, in a tree-lined park housing a rose garden or in a wasteland, the festival knows how to reinvent itself and offer the public a moment of celebration, encounter and sharing between generations. Following the heatwave and the early closure of the 2026 edition of the festival due to bad weather, we are launching this crowdfunding campaign to support the festival. This 11th two-day edition was a risky bet, both in terms of organisation and financial challenge: but we did it . For the public, for the artists, for the volunteers, for culture and its accessibility to all, we rose to the challenge. We guide, but we don't control everything: the weather conditions worked against us. After the decision to keep the festival open by opening its doors later and unfortunately having to cancel several groups, it was finally a premature closure and evacuation of the public in anticipation of the storm that was decided by the team. This two-day opening, later and ultimately the early closure of the festival have costs. Precisely, it's a deficit of around €29,000 that is currently at stake for us . WHO ARE WE? Since 2000, the SUM has been addressing all those who love music, from the musician to the spectator. It enables people to create, learn and listen. All our actions are carried out with the concern of involving and empowering users. The project The SUM (formerly Sèvres Unité Musique) was born out of the friendship of 4 musicians and their desire to share their love of music with everyone. For over 26 years, the project, entirely voluntary at the beginning, has evolved, structured itself, developed and professionalised, to continue to: Promote the practice of amplified contemporary music Offer musicians (amateurs or professionals, regardless of their aesthetics) a conducive framework for creation and rehearsal, in conditions adapted to Amplified Contemporary Music. Support and encourage the learning and development of musical practices. Disseminate amplified contemporary music Give artists the opportunity to present and disseminate their creations, to meet an audience and to meet other artists. Raise awareness among audiences (spectators, students, institutions) about Amplified Contemporary Music and propose and discover repertoires and aesthetics. Contribute to the development of the territory Create social and cultural links, contribute to the animation and life of the territory. Contribute to the structuring of the Amplified Contemporary Music sector. The association is a dynamic local player in the Hauts-de-Seine and a member of the RIF, the Amplified Contemporary Music Network in Île-de-France. The SUM is based in Sèvres (92), with 3 rehearsal studios and a concert hall, as well as in Ville-d’Avray (92) with 2 other rehearsal studios. The association offers: Lessons in various instruments (guitar, bass, drums, keyboard) and singing for all ages and levels, with a first stage experience for students during the student festival (around April each year) The booking, occasional or regular, of all its music studios, for professionals or amateurs, alone or in groups Professional support with artistic residencies for groups, thanks to its new concert hall Sumcases, monthly musical diffusion evenings The Les Aiguilleurs festival, which celebrated its 11th edition this year
