Festival Les Fourmilières

Les Fourmilières is a solidarity and anti-fascist festival. We are collectives, associations, bookshops, breweries, unions, cultural venues, theatre troupes, sports associations, third places, cinemas. We are currently around sixty collectives spread from the Larzac to the Cévennes and as far as the coast, across Aveyron, Gard and Hérault.

A solidarity and anti-fascist festival, how lovely! But for a successful festival, we need your help.

Our ambition is to multiply events, topics, formats and venues. All of this takes time and motivation, which is great because we are numerous and super motivated! But it also requires money, and that's where our overflowing ideas need to be supported to take shape.

What will the money be used for?

This money will be distributed among the collectives depending on the events organised. More donations will allow us to organise more events during the fortnight, to bring in more speakers and artists by covering the costs of their travel, by paying them fairly and ultimately, it will allow us to welcome more people… In short, by participating in this funding, you contribute to making this festival a popular, joyful celebration rooted in departments where the struggle against the far right and its world is a major issue.

The full amount raised will be given to collectives involved in organising Les Fourmilières and dedicated to organising the festival.

Who manages this fundraiser?

Les Fourmilières is the story of several dozen collectives working together in a horizontal way to amplify anti-fascist and solidarity struggles in Hérault, Gard and Aveyron. Without a central coordinating structure, this crowdfunding is managed by some of the organising collectives.

Your donations to support the festival will be addressed to the association La Battante, a militant batucada based in Montpellier. The amounts raised will be distributed among organisers according to needs and the events organised by each.

What happens if the target isn't reached?

We'll have less budget to bring in lots of great speakers and that's a shame! But there's no minimum amount to reach for the donations to be collected, so we'll already be very grateful for your support and we'll use it wisely.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

No! This donation to support the festival is not addressed to an association authorised to issue a valid tax receipt. Your donation is not tax-deductible.
