0% commission
No subscription and no Donoor commission. Only Stripe's fees apply, and your donors can choose to cover them.
Fundraisers, QR codes, ticketing and memberships: everything is free for your association, donations go straight to its account, in euros, and your Police fundraising number is shown wherever the law requires it.

Associations established in Finland (sports clubs, cultural associations, volunteer fire brigades, parents' associations, social associations, foundations, religious communities) use Donoor for free: no subscription and no Donoor commission. Your donors pay in euros the way they are used to, and the money goes straight to your association's account.
Payment methods
MobilePay and payment from online banking (OP, Nordea, S-Pankki…) are on by default, alongside card, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Fundraising permit
Donoor checks it against the Police's official list, shows it on every donation page and checks it again every night.

Tap to Pay
On iPhone and Android: take tickets, membership fees and sales by contactless card, with no terminal to buy.

Small-scale fundraising
For a small-scale fundraising (pienkeräys), Donoor closes the page at the limit or on the end date and prepares your report.

No subscription and no Donoor commission. Only Stripe's fees apply, and your donors can choose to cover them.
Your Police number, the association's name and the purpose of the fundraising appear next to every request for donations; a small-scale fundraising closes on its own at €10,000 or on its end date.
Fundraisers, payment links, ticketing, memberships with member cards, shop and monthly donations, on the web and in the app.
In Finland, asking the public for donations requires a number from the Police (Money Collection Act, 863/2019). Donoor opens your donations as soon as that number is checked and shows what the law requires.

Yes. Any association established in Finland (registered association “ry”, foundation, religious community) creates its account and uses fundraisers, QR codes, Tap to Pay, ticketing, memberships and the shop: sports clubs, cultural associations, volunteer fire brigades, parents' associations, social associations… Online donations open with the Police fundraising number, as Finnish law requires. The website and the app are available in English.
Yes. In Finland, asking the public for money with nothing in return is fundraising: you need a fundraising permit from the Police (rahankeräyslupa) or a notified small-scale fundraising (pienkeräys), with a number such as RA/2026/1234. On Donoor, the donation page, fundraisers, donation QR codes, monthly donations and Tap to Pay donations therefore open with that number. Memberships, ticketing and the shop are open without a number: they are sales, not fundraising.
In your association's settings, type your number (for example RA/2026/1387). If it is in the Police's official list of permits with your association's Y-tunnus, it is verified at once and your donations open with no ceiling. Donoor then shows the number, your association's name and the purpose of the fundraising on every donation page, on your QR codes and in your emails asking for donations, and checks every night that the permit is still on the list.
Notify the Police at least 5 working days before you start (€120), then enter its number in Donoor with the dates, the fundraising account and the purpose, and upload the Police's letter. As soon as the Donoor team has checked it, your donations open between the two dates. The page closes on its own when donations reach €10,000 or the day after the end date, and the report (amount, number of donations, fees) is ready to download: the Police expect it within 2 months.
With its Y-tunnus, the number every registered association has received (7 digits, a hyphen and a check digit, for example 1234567-8). Donoor finds it in the Police's list of permits or in the open data of the YTJ system and verifies it at once; otherwise, the Donoor team checks it on the extract from the register of associations that you send.
Nothing: €0 subscription and 0% Donoor commission, and nothing is taken from donations. Only Stripe's fees apply, for example 1.5% + €0.25 for a donation by European card, and your donors can choose to cover them. When paying, donors are also offered an optional tip for Donoor, paid on top of their donation: they can change it or remove it. The money reaches your association's Stripe account, then its bank account; Donoor never holds the funds.
Bank card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, MobilePay and payment from online banking (OP, Nordea, S-Pankki, Danske Bank, Aktia…), on by default for Finnish associations. MobilePay and online banking are for one-off payments, not for monthly donations. Revolut Pay and SEPA Direct Debit can be switched on in your settings.
Not today: in 2026, individuals cannot deduct their donations to an association in Finland (only large donations to a university). A company can deduct a donation of at least €850 to an association designated by the Tax Administration for science, art or cultural heritage. Donoor therefore issues no Finnish tax receipt. A government bill (HE 174/2026) plans a 30% tax credit from 2027 for donations to certain designated associations: if it is passed, Donoor will adapt.
No, not in Finland: the Money Collection Act forbids mixing a sale or a membership with a request for donations. Donoor therefore removes the “add a donation” option from Finnish associations' ticketing, memberships and shop. Your donations have their own page, with your Police number.
Yes: with Tap to Pay, a volunteer's iPhone or Android phone accepts contactless cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, with no terminal to buy. Sales (tickets, membership fees, refreshments) are always possible; donations, with your Police number. Many Finnish cards require their PIN above the contactless limit (€50), which Tap to Pay cannot take: offer Apple Pay, Google Pay or a payment link instead.
Fundraising permits: Lista rahankeräyksistä, the official list published by the Finnish Police (copy updated every night). Association data: YTJ – avoin data, open data from the Business Information System of the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) and the Tax Administration. Data extracted and formatted by Donoor.
