Does Donoor take a commission on ticket sales?
No. Donoor is 100% free for organisations. Only bank fees (Stripe or PayPal, approx. 1.5% + €0.25) apply, and these can be covered by the ticket buyer.
Does check-in at the entrance require an internet connection?
Yes, a simple mobile connection (4G) is enough. Each ticket is validated in real time on the server: this is what allows a ticket that has already been scanned to be refused instantly, even if it is presented at the same time on another phone. Several volunteers can scan in parallel, each from their own phone.
Can several ticket categories be created for the same event?
Yes. You can create as many rates as needed (free, full, student, member, VIP, etc.), each with its own quota, options and sales period.
How do refunds work?
You can refund a ticket in one click from the dashboard. The amount is automatically returned to the buyer (Stripe or PayPal) and the place is put back on sale if the quota has not been reached.
Does Donoor replace HelloAsso or Weezevent for ticketing?
Yes. Donoor offers the same features (online sales, check-in, access control, promo codes) with a dashboard designed for organisation managers, 0% platform commission and €0 subscription: only bank fees apply.
Can an organisation set up free online ticketing?
Yes. Setting up ticketing on Donoor costs nothing: €0 subscription and 0% platform commission. For a free-entry event, registration and tickets are entirely free, for the organisation and for participants alike. For paid tickets, only bank fees apply (Stripe: 1.5% + €0.25 per card transaction, or PayPal: approx. 1.4% + €0.25), and these can be covered by the buyer.
How do participants receive their ticket?
Immediately after registration (free ticket) or payment (paid ticket), each participant receives a confirmation email with their tickets attached as PDF files, each bearing a unique QR code. The ticket can be shown on a phone or printed on the day of the event.
How do you organise a lotto or raffle for your organisation?
A lotto or raffle run by an organisation requires authorisation (a declaration to the town hall for a lotto, prefectoral authorisation for a raffle above a certain amount). On the ticketing side, Donoor lets you sell cards or tickets online, take card payments and issue supporting documents, all with 0% commission.
