Frequently asked questions

How does the member receive their membership card?

As soon as their membership is validated, either immediately after payment or after your approval if you check applications, the digital membership card is generated automatically and sent to the member by email, as a PDF. They can show it on their phone or print it. If they lose it, you can resend it in one click from their record in your dashboard.

How can you check that a membership card is valid?

Scan the card's QR code from your Donoor dashboard or from the mobile app: the membership status appears immediately (valid or expired) along with the member's details. If the card is not to hand, you can also enter the member number manually to get the same result.

What does someone see when scanning the QR code with an ordinary phone?

The QR code opens a verification page showing the membership status (active, expired, awaiting payment or cancelled), along with the member's name, membership plan and validity dates. No app needs to be installed: the phone's camera is enough.

Does the card remain valid after a renewal?

Yes. The card is linked to the member's record: when the membership is renewed, the scan shows the new status and the new validity dates, without anything being reprinted or resent. Conversely, if the membership fee falls due without renewal, the card shows as expired when scanned.

How much does the digital membership card cost?

Nothing: it is included in Donoor, like all features. No subscription, no platform commission. Only bank fees apply to the membership fee payment (1.5% + €0.25 per card transaction), and the member can cover them at the time of payment.

Can a tax receipt be issued for the membership fee?

Yes, if your organisation is eligible (general interest, public benefit, religious) and the membership fee is marked as tax-deductible. The Cerfa 11580 tax receipt is then generated automatically after payment: the member downloads it from their donor area, with no data entry required from you.
