Pricing to suit you

Adult, child, student, organisation member, presale, last-minute. Quotas per price to manage capacity.

No commission

For 200 tickets sold at €15, you keep €3,000 with Donoor vs €2,805 with Eventbrite (–€195).

Quick entry scanning

Validate each ticket in 1 second via the Donoor app on iPhone/Android. Multiple devices supported.

Automatic confirmation email

Attendees instantly receive their ticket by email with a QR code, plus an automatic reminder the day before.

How it works

Set up in under 8 minutes, no technical knowledge needed.

  1. 1

    Create your concert

Choose the “event” type + date/time. Set up prices (adult €15, child €8, student €10) and their quotas.

  2. 2

    Spread the word

Share the Donoor link on your social networks, newsletter and website. Apple Pay / Google Pay for maximum mobile conversion.

  3. 3

    Track sales in real time

Dashboard with counters per price, today's sales and filling forecast. Adjust prices if needed.

  4. 4

On the night: scan + start

The entrance team scans QR codes via the Donoor app. Real-time summary of actual entries.

What to prepare

The honest list of equipment and team you need to make your concert a success. No proprietary hardware to buy, you already have 90% of what you need.

Staffing

  • 1 sound and lighting technician
Either a professional contractor (allow €600–1,500 per evening) or an experienced volunteer with town hall/club equipment.
  • 2 to 3 entrance stewards
Scan ticket QR codes and manage the queue. 1 steward scans around 150 people in 10 minutes.
  • 1 artist liaison
Welcome, dressing rooms, meals, fee payment. Single point of contact for the invited artist(s).
  • 2 to 4 bar volunteers
Selling drinks and snacks during the interval and after the concert. iPhone Tap to Pay, no card terminal needed.

Tools and equipment

  • A Donoor account (5 min)
Ticketing + QR check-in + automatic reminder the day before + Tap to Pay for the bar, all in one account.
  • Suitable venue + ERP declaration
Municipal hall, parish hall or organisation's premises. Check the permitted ERP capacity with the venue manager.
  • Sound system + lighting
Town hall equipment is often lent free of charge to local organisations. Otherwise, hire a technician at around €400–800 per evening.
  • 2 iPhones for check-in
iPhone XS or later, iOS 16.4+. Avoids a single queue at the entrance: 2 stewards scan in parallel.
  • Dressing rooms + artist meals
Closed space for the artists (cloakroom if there is no dedicated dressing room), drinks and cold snacks provided for in the contract.
French regulation

What the law says

We explain the legal obligations for your concert in plain language. Checked by our team and up to date for 2026.

§

Entertainment promoter licence

Article L7122-1 of the Code du travail (French Labour Code)

If your organisation pays the artists (fee, contract), you must hold an entertainment promoter licence. Free application to the DRAC of your region, valid for 5 years. Exemption if fewer than 6 paid performances take place per year.

§

SACEM declaration before the concert

Code de la propriété intellectuelle (French Intellectual Property Code)

Any public performance of music (live or recorded) generates SACEM royalties. Online declaration on sacem.fr 15 days in advance. Flat rate based on capacity and receipts: count on €50–400 for a charity-run concert. Payment after the concert.

§

GUSO if artists are paid a fee

Article L7121-2 of the Code du travail (French Labour Code)

To pay a performing artist, the organisation must declare the fee to the GUSO (Guichet Unique du Spectacle Occasionnel, the single window for occasional performances). Online procedure on guso.fr, free of charge, automatically calculates social contributions. Essential even for a fee of €100.

§

ERP: respecting capacity

The venue has a regulatory capacity (listed in the safety register). Your ticketing cannot exceed this number. Selling beyond capacity makes the organisation liable and exposes the venue manager to a fine.

§

Event public liability insurance (RC événementielle)

Check with your insurer (MAIF / AXA / etc.) that your public liability cover includes the music event open to the public. Most organisation contracts cover up to 200 people; beyond that, request an extension (often free or around €20).

Frequently asked questions

Can you manage a seating plan (numbered seats)?

Not yet: Donoor handles simple tickets (no numbering). If you need a true seating plan (theatre with numbered seats), dedicated tools such as Yurplan are better suited. For 95% of charity concerts (standing or free seating), Donoor is more than sufficient.

How do I manage free guests / artist passes?

Create a €0 price (accessible via a private promo code) and send it to your VIP guests, artists and press. They register and receive their QR code just like any other buyer.

How long does it take to receive the funds?

Directly: funds reach your bank account (via Stripe Connect or PayPal) 2–7 days after each sale. You do NOT have to wait until the end of the concert to collect the money, unlike with Eventbrite or Billetweb.

Can you take payments on site on the night?

Yes, via Tap to Pay on iPhone. For those who did not book online, take card payments in person without a payment terminal. Tickets are created instantly.

What if the concert is cancelled?

You can refund all buyers in one click from your dashboard. Funds return to their original card (3–5 days). No refund fees with Donoor.

How much does a charity concert cost on Donoor?

€0. Donoor is 100% free: no commission, no subscription. Only bank fees (1.5% + €0.25 per transaction) apply, and the buyer covers them in 4 out of 5 cases.
