How do I get my tax receipt, and what should I do if I haven't received it?
If the association has activated tax receipts and your donation is eligible, your receipt is generated automatically and sent to you by email straight after payment; you can also download it directly from the confirmation page. You can then find it at any time under My donations, in your donor area.
If you have not received it, this is never by chance: a few specific reasons explain it, and this article goes through them.
Straight after your payment
On the confirmation page, two documents may appear:
- Payment confirmation: the summary of your donation, always available, whether or not the donation is tax-deductible.
- Tax receipt: only if the association has activated the service and your donation is eligible.
If the receipt appears directly, download it using the Get my tax receipt button. If your first and last name or your address is missing, a form opens instead: complete First and last name and Full address (number, street, postcode, city), then click Receive my tax receipt. Both documents are in any case also sent automatically by email.
Finding a receipt later
- Log in to your donor area, for example from dashboard.donoor.org or the link you received by email.
- Open My donations.
- In the Tax receipt column of the relevant line, click the Preview icon to display it, or Download PDF to save it.
Each receipt remains available for as long as your account exists, regardless of how old the donation is. If your profile still does not have your name or address, a banner reading Missing information for tax receipts appears: click Complete my profile to unlock the pending receipts.
Good to know: the amount shown on your receipt is the amount actually paid to the association, including payment fees if you covered them, but never the voluntary support you chose to give to Donoor. The details of the tax relief rates and ceilings are explained in quelle réduction d'impôt pour un don, une cotisation ou un achat.
You have received nothing: possible reasons
| What you see or notice | Why | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| "Non déductible", with the explanation "un achat n'ouvre pas droit à un reçu fiscal" | You paid for a ticket, a membership or a shop item, with no donation added, and the organiser did not declare this rate as tax-deductible | Check whether a donation was offered in addition to the purchase; see le cas des cotisations et des billets |
| "Non déductible", with the explanation "cette association ne propose pas de reçu fiscal pour ce don" | The association has not activated tax receipts, or has not made this collection tax-deductible | Contact the association: only it can activate the service |
| "Disponible après paiement" | Your payment is not yet fully validated (for example a bank transfer in progress) | Wait and check your donor area again a little later |
| A receipt that has disappeared, or no longer appears | The donation has been refunded, in full or in part: a refunded donation no longer entitles you to a receipt | The receipt is cancelled automatically; a new receipt may be issued for the part that remains tax-deductible, if any remains |
Still nothing?
Start with the association itself: it is the one that activates the service and declares its donations tax-deductible, and Donoor only acts as a technical provider for generating the receipt. If you cannot find a way to contact it, or if the problem comes from the platform, contact Donoor and state the name of the association, the date and the amount of the donation concerned.
Key takeaways
- A tax receipt is generated automatically if the association has activated it and your donation is eligible, then sent by email straight after payment.
- You must have entered your full name and address for it to be issued.
- You can find it at any time under My donations, regardless of how old the donation is.
- Tickets, memberships and shop purchases do not entitle you to a receipt, unless they include a donation declared tax-deductible.
- A refunded donation no longer has a valid receipt: it is cancelled automatically.
