What can you do with the Donoor mobile app?

The Donoor mobile app is an extension of your dashboard on your phone: it shows your figures in real time, alerts you to every donation or sale, takes payments on the spot with Tap to Pay, and acts as a scanner on the day of an event or to check a membership card. It is available free of charge on iPhone and Android, and you can use it for several organisations at once.

What you see depends on your rights within the team: a volunteer, for example, can take payments with Tap to Pay without seeing the amounts collected.

Which phones can install the app

The Donoor app is installed from the App Store on iPhone, and from Google Play on Android:

PhoneMinimum version
iPhoneiOS 16.4 or later
AndroidAndroid 8.0 or later

To take payments with Tap to Pay, you also need an iPhone XS or later, or an Android phone with an NFC chip running Android 11 or later: the details are in What is Tap to Pay for organisations?

The five tabs in the app

A navigation bar at the bottom of the screen gives access to five tabs, identical on iPhone and Android:

TabWhat it lets you do
HomeThe same figures as the web dashboard, updated in real time: amount collected, recent donations, payouts.
TicketingTrack your events, and scan tickets at the entrance.
CollectThe central button: it opens Tap to Pay to take a donation or a contactless payment.
FundraisersTrack the progress of your fundraisers and their donations.
MembershipsTrack your members, and check a membership card by scanning it.

Checking tickets and membership cards requires an internet connection: see Does check-in at the entrance require an internet connection? and How does the digital membership card work?

What you find in Settings

Beyond the five tabs, the Settings screen of the app gives access to:

Managing several organisations from the same app

If you are a manager or volunteer in several organisations, one account is enough:

  1. Open Settings: the name of your organisation appears at the top, with a Tap to change badge if you have several.
  2. Tap this badge: the list of your organisations appears.
  3. Choose the organisation you want to switch to, without logging out.

With only one organisation, the badge simply shows Manage my organisation. Each organisation keeps its own statistics, notifications and team access, completely separate from the others.

Good to know: what you see after switching organisations depends on your role in that organisation, which may differ from your role in the previous one.

Protecting access to the app

In Settings › Lock, three levels of protection are offered:

LevelWhat it does
OffNo biometric protection beyond logging in to your account.
Biometrics at loginA quick re-login with your fingerprint or face, without locking the app between openings.
Required lockUnlocking is required each time you open the app or return to it.

A backup access code is always available if biometrics do not work.
