How do I register my organisation on Donoor?
To register your organisation, click on Register my organisation on donoor.org, find your organisation by its name, its RNA number or its SIRET number, create your access with an email address and a password (or with Google or Apple), then confirm your email address. All that remains is to connect Stripe or PayPal to start receiving donations.
Registration is free and comes with no commitment, and takes a few minutes.
Before you start
Simply have your organisation's name and an email address ready. If you know it, also keep its RNA number (Répertoire National des Associations, in the format W followed by 9 digits) or its SIRET number to hand: this speeds up registration, but it is not required to get started. You can enter it later, in Settings › Organisation › Tax information.
Step 1: find or create your organisation
- Click on Register my organisation, at the top right of the donoor.org website, or go directly to dashboard.donoor.org/register.
- In Tell us about your organisation, type its name, its RNA number or its SIRET number.
- Choose your organisation from the suggestions, check the Organisation found screen, then click on Continue.
Doesn't your organisation appear in the list?
Click on I can't find my organisation to type its name yourself. This option also suits a group or a project not yet registered with the prefecture: you can add an RNA or SIRET number later, as soon as you have one.
Good to know: entering your RNA or SIRET number, now or later in your settings, allows Donoor to verify your organisation with the State. This is what opens the right to tax receipts for eligible organisations.
Important: if a message Organisation already registered appears, it means your organisation already has a Donoor account, created by someone else. Ask that person to invite you to the team rather than creating a second account.
Step 2: create your access
- If your organisation was not found in the directory, enter its name. Then enter your email address and a password of at least 8 characters, with a lowercase letter, an uppercase letter and a number.
- The phone number requested is optional: it is used later to prepare your Stripe file.
- Tick the box I accept the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.
- Click on Create my account, or use Continue with Google or Continue with Apple.
Step 3: confirm your email address
After creating the account, you arrive on your dashboard. A banner Confirm your email address is displayed: open the email you have just received and click on its link. Nothing received? Check your spam folder, or click on Resend the confirmation email in the banner.
Step 4: connect a payment method
For your donation pages to accept payments, connect Stripe or PayPal, or both, from Settings › Collection process. The details of this step are explained in How to connect Stripe or PayPal. At the top of the dashboard, the Account completion gauge lists what remains to be done: organisation information, public page, creating a fundraiser, creating a QR code and activating a payment method.
How long does it take to be ready?
| Step | Duration |
|---|---|
| Create the account and find the organisation | A few minutes |
| Connect Stripe or PayPal | A few minutes |
| Account verification by Stripe or PayPal | From a few minutes to a few days (PayPal: usually a few minutes to 2 or 3 working days) |
You can prepare your fundraisers and QR codes while Stripe or PayPal checks your file: the only thing missing will be an active payment method to start collecting money.
Important: if registration displays Verification required when you type your RNA number, write to contact@donoor.org: this number needs a manual verification before it can be used online.
Key takeaways
- Registration takes place in two steps: find or enter the organisation, then create your access (email and password, or Google or Apple).
- The RNA or SIRET number is not required to start: you can enter it later in Settings.
- A group not yet registered can also sign up, via « I can't find my organisation ».
- After confirming your email, you still need to connect Stripe or PayPal to receive your first donations.
- Everything is free: registration takes a few minutes, and only the payment provider's verification may take up to a few days.
